Partnering with Principals to Raise the Ceiling and the Floor in Mathematics

October 3- 4 and November 14, Newport News

The Institute will answer these questions:

- How can school-based instructional leaders improve teaching and learning in mathematics?

Focus Areas:

- Day 1 (October 3): Explore the mathematics your students should be doing in order to meet rigorous standards for content knowledge and thinking.

- Day 2 (October 4): Use the process goals from the SOL as benchmarks for observing mathematics instruction. Learn to build and support mathematics leadership in your school.
