On December 14, 2011, join VASCD for a day-long Standards Symposium to include:

" The history, progress, and immediate future of the Common Core by ASCD Policy Director David Griffith;
" An interactive look at both the Standards of Learning in Virginia and the Common Core, with an emphasis on activities that address competencies from both the Common Core and Standards of Learning by Dan Mulligan, President of Educators for Academic Excellence (E4AE); and
" A panel discussion of Virginia educators responding to questions and issues related to the development of state and/or national standards.
